Dry Products

When it comes to balancing and/or correcting a soil, you are, in most cases looking at some type of dry products to get the job done.

Task 1: This is to define which products can be used to effectively bring your soil into balance. This can be subject to certain limitations due to Non-GMO food grade criteria, organic certifications, etc.

Task 2: Define which nutrients are the most limiting factors.

Task 3: Evaluate the logistics of getting various products to the farm.

Task 4: Examine the economics of the balancing process relative to the crop being produced along with the costs of the product(s) versus the market value of the crop.

Task 5: Pencil out a tentative gameplan to move forward.

Dry products can be used as starters, can provide biology, and can provide trace elements and minerals for the crop. The improtant thing is to understand ‘What you are using’and ‘Why you are using it’.

Note that we will assist in managing dry applications for growers with whom we do soils work. We are familiar in working with a variety of options. You must understand how the various dry products perform and have a handle on the breakdown process; they will do the trick when used appropriately. Correcting the soil is not an overnight fix.
