FOUNDER David W. Nelson is an Organic & Non-GMO Crop Advisor, in the true sense of the word and brings a wealth of information to the table. With a formal College background in the Agriculture & Forestry Fields and personal farm experience, David has seen both sides of the fence.
In 1988, David & his wife Vickie started a landscape fertilizer service specializing in chemical & pesticide free fertilization in Colorado. During this time David began working with Neal Kinsey following the Albrecht Model of Soil Fertility. In this arena it was easy to see the effects of a host of products and systems. The Albrecht system, when followed as initially instructed, simply works with amazing consistency!
Since moving back to Minnesota, Dave’s expertise has put him in high demand with growers wanting to get back on a track that is working with the natural processes and not against them. David continues working with Neil Kinsey to preserve and teach the Albrecht Model. David has a vast vendor base and many relationships which he utilizes to stay abreast of the latest findings and product developments.
David reviews and makes all final soil recommendations for all Pedogenesis associates.
The Pedogenesis Network: We believe strongly in the promotion of safe, healthy food and feed. By default, we align with those who have that motive at their core. In Network refers to those individuals with whom we work closely on an on-going basis and who adhere to the Kinsey-Albrecht System of caring for and balancing the soil. The purpose of this arrangement is to have access to specialties that can be of unique benefit to our growers.
